  • To celebrate the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, we took to the Cam river for a day of punting. With over 30 people, many students got to experience this Cambridge essential for the first time!

  • In their recent trip to Istanbul, the Cambridge Lions Basketball team played a friendly match against Bogazici University. The tight game played at the scenic court overseeing the Bosphorus was won 69-68 by Cambridge and it was amazing to see this intersection of our Turkish and Cambridge identities.

  • Hosted as a collaboration event between the CU French Society, CU Hellenic Society, CU Spanish Society, CU Italian Society and CU Turkish Society, the Mediterranean Club Night is a quintessential Cambridge experience!

  • The exclusive formal swap with 15 other CU Societies was held at Churchill College, and it was a fantastic evening filled with great food and the chance to connect with fellow Europeans!

  • The annual board game night was held at the SU Student Lounge and we had a chance to play the games we all grew up with. Tavla, 101, chess and many card games were played along with classic Turkish snacks and drinks!

  • The start of term pub meet was a chance for all students to catch up after the long winter holidays.Once again, we met at the lovely "The Maypole" and had a night of laughter and amazing conversations.

  • Held at Churchill College, this beautiful dinner was the start of what we hope will be a lasting tradition of friendship, cultural exchange, and shared experiences between our two societies.

  • As part of our annual tradition, we screen a documentary to commemorate the passing of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk while learning more about his life and legacy. This year we had the privilege of watching "‎Sarı Zeybek (1993)”

  • Our annual republic day celebration was held one of at St. John's College most historic venues: The Old Music Room. With an attendance of almost 60 members, the event also hosted one of our founding members Dr. Arın Bayraktaroğlu.
