Membership
Information on membership from our constitution:
- Membership of the Society shall be open to all members of the University of Cambridge (hereafter referred to as “the University”) and any others that have an affiliation with Turkey, Turkish culture and are based in the Cambridge area;
- There shall be two types of membership:
- Type 1: consisting of only members of the University;
- Type 2: consisting of non-members of the University.
- Only type 1 members shall have voting rights.
- There shall be two types of membership:
- Membership is £5 for lifetime, and there may also be a fee for some certain activities which shall be determined by the Society from time to time.
As we are a non profit society, all proceeds from membership and donations go towards building better and more exclusive events. We have adopted a “pay what you can” policy for many of our events to encourage the attendance of students with bursaries, and offer need-based free tickets to certain events. While we will be keeping our membership fee at $5, we encourage any donations from those who wish to and can support our growing society.
